If you've ever sat at a sushi bar, you have probably seen how quickly and easily the sushi chefs put together various sushi rolls. With a little training in the art of sushi making, you too can prepare your own sushi at home. Sakuma is offering 2-hour classes at its restaurant, where students will learn about fundamentals aspects of Japanese cuisine, from the basic art of cooking sushi rice to the preparation of Japanese egg (tamago) and various ingredients (including raw fish) used in making sushi rolls. Students will learn the technique of creating their very own mouth-watering sushi rolls and presenting it on the plate with garnishes. The best part is that they get to savor the sushi rolls at the end with some green tea. Sakuma’s sushi making classes cater to a wide variety of audiences, including kids, adults, couples, family and corporate team building group. Vegetarian sushi class is also available.
